Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
U.S. Citizen or National
Fire experience recommended
Ability to pass the Work Capacity Test
- Hike 3 miles with 45 pounds under 45 minutes
Crew hiking standard
- 1200 ft elevation in 1.6 miles under 50 minutes
- Carrying 65 pounds
Recommended minimum fitness standards
- 1.5 mile run in a time of 10:35 minutes or less
- 25 push-ups in 1 minute
- 40 sit-ups in 1 minute
- 7 pull ups
